Manage Icon Variants
IconSprint keeps every icon tidy by separating variants, so you always know which asset belongs in production and which one is a work in progress. This guide shows how to keep them organized, and share the right files with your team.
Stay consistent while editing
Inside the Icon Workspace view you can fine-tune each platform. Adjust background colors for light and dark themes, tweak offsets, or swap overlays, then apply the changes. IconSprint saves those adjustments inside the active version so the next bundle you download reflects them immediately. If you regret a change, use the reset option to snap back to the saved settings without touching previous exports, and the preview panel will update in real time.
Add or remove variants with confidence
The bottom right part of the screen shows which variants exist for the icon.

Standard (Light) is always present. Dark, tinted, and mono are optional. When you enable a new variant, IconSprint runs the background job to generate it. Deleting a variant removes only that set of files and leaves the rest of the variants untouched. This approach keeps your library lean while still letting you experiment: Turn variants on during testing, and remove the extras when you decide what ships.
Download bundles that match your needs
When you click Download bundle, the dialog remembers which variants and platforms you checked the last time.
TIP: Generate a new package whenever you update settings or create a new variant.
